Cocktail Bar
Located in Central Park district of downtown Durham, overlooking the original Durham Athletic Park, our distillery and Liberty & Plenty Cocktail Bar share the same space within the former Brame Warehouse, which was built in 1938. It once housed the R.J. Reynolds Prizery. Operational from 1938 to 1963, this warehouse was used to stored “prized” or pressed layers of tobacco leaves into hogshead barrels, similar to the oak barrels we use for maturing bourbon, whiskey, and occasionally, other spirits.
In collaboration with local design firm, pod architecture + design, we worked with the raw, industrial beauty of the space to bring to life an open and navigable space that provides a relaxed and rustic, yet sophisticated space. During the spring, summer and fall, you can feel the calm breeze make its way through the distillery when we roll up the giant rolling doors, and the energy of our downtown community on our large covered patio. It is a small space that was designed to deliver big and meaningful experiences, and we think you’ll love it as much as we do.
Cocktail Menu
The cocktail menu at the Liberty & Plenty was brought to life with a desire to feature original creations based on seasonal ingredients, while also paying homage to some timeless classics and local suppliers, always highlighting the spirits that we produce.
